The Asia-Pacific Young Greens Network (APYGN) was formed in 2012 with the purpose of bringing together youth from the Asia and Pacific region into the mainstream of green politics.
APYGN works as a formal body of the Asia Pacific Greens Federation (APGF) and through its guidance and close coordination, alongside its other branches, namely the Congress, the Council, the Global Greens, the committees, the action groups, and the forums. APYGN aims to inspire, empower, and involve as many youth as possible to take the lead for eco-friendly development, security, and peace at local, regional, and global levels.
APYGN aims to achieve its goals based on the principles of ecological sustainability, social justice, grassroots democracy, peace, and Green politics. Its main objectives are to inspire, empower, and engage young people in green politics within the framework of participatory democracy to further the Green principles as outlined in the Global Greens Charter.
As an official sectoral arm of the APGN, a proportion of the annual budget and other resources of the APGN are dedicated to support the operations, program and participation of the APYGN. As for you, if you think that you have the potential to take the lead, no matter where you are, this network is for you, to provide you with the proper guidance and a platform, which would inspire, empower, and engage you to be a green political leader. APYGN has always sought to be a political forum for like-minded young people like you, to join hands for a positive change.
